Lakeshore Longhouse Photo and Video Memories
|
One of our best floats ever - Rafting
down Kercheval in the 2005 Santa
Claus Parade. (Click photo to play video.)
Our 2007 Santa Claus Parade "Father's
Day" float in keeping with the 'holidays'
theme of the parade. Note the great log
cabin and roasting marshmellows over a
roaring campfire. (Click photo to play video.)

Photos The pictures taken at the many Indian
Princess, Adventure Guides, and now Native Sons and
Daughters events are priceless recordings of the fun
times had and make up at least a few pages of a
digital scrapbook of our childrens' lives. (Of course,
they chronicle the graying of the dads, too.)
There are now many online services that provide a
quicker and better way to share photos with a group
like ours than by posting individual photos here. So,
I am using Shutterfly.com as a means of sharing
digital photos.
The link above will take you to the Lakeshore
Longhouse shared site that will allow us to not only
view photos and videos, but to upload and share
either photos or videos that each of us take and want
to share.
To be able to upload photos and leave comments or
journal entries on the site requires you to become a
member of shutterfly. But that only requires you to
submit a name and your email address. You don't
have to become a member to just view the pics, but I
encourage folks to become a member and use the site
as a place for sharing photos and written memories of
the activities.
If you have difficulties accessing the site or
uploading photos, please contact me at
pete@miscience.org.
Videos Sometimes memories are best
captured in a video with images, movement,
and sound.
I'll try to create short video memories
from the past and current Native Sons and
Daughters events. Sit down with your
son(s) or daughter(s) and watch some of
the fun you had together or will have as
part of this great program.
